Hi, I’m Amanda!

I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, grief-stricken, anxious, or just not like yourself, please know: you’re not alone. Life has a way of pulling us under—and therapy can help bring you back to shore.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialized training in perinatal mental health (PMH-C), EMDR trauma therapy, and grief work, I offer a gentle, holistic approach that honors your whole self—mind, body, and soul. I work with parents, young adults, and individuals navigating life transitions, trauma, pregnancy loss, and the emotional complexity of new motherhood or fatherhood.
But beyond the credentials, I’m a fellow human who’s walked through my own seasons of loss and change.
And I believe in meeting your story with grace.
You don’t have to hold it all alone. Healing begins in the presence of someone who truly sees you.
I know what it’s like to carry emotions that don’t have an easy name—grief that lingers, anxiety that hums beneath the surface, or a life transition that shakes your sense of self. I’ve sat in those tender spaces, too. And I’ve found that healing doesn’t come from quick fixes—it comes from being heard, held, and met with compassion.
Whether you're navigating loss, parenthood, trauma, or the in-between places of becoming, I’m here to walk alongside you. My approach blends clinical expertise with deep empathy, offering you a space to feel safe, grounded, and gently supported as you move toward healing and wholeness.

My Approach:
Gentle • Rooted • Collaborative
I don’t believe in quick fixes or clinical detachment. Therapy with me is relational, evidence-informed, and tenderhearted. I combine proven methods like EMDR, CBT, mind-body practices, and nature-based therapy with intuitive attunement to your needs and pace.
I particularly love working with:
Moms and dads facing perinatal loss, postpartum struggles, or birth trauma
Teens and young adults exploring identity, purpose, change and transitions
Grieving individuals processing the loss of loved ones, dreams, or stability
Sensitive souls who want therapy to feel grounding in nature, not as clinical and stiff
Whether we meet in my office, virtually, or outside on a trail or by the water, my goal is the same: To help you feel safe, seen, and supported.
The story behind Restoring Heart and Home:
In 2016, I experienced the loss of someone very close to me. I didn’t know how to navigate the overwhelming grief that followed. Six months later, my husband and I moved into our first home—a fixer-upper full of character and potential. As we renovated it, room by room on a tiny budget, I began to notice something else being restored: my heart.
Writing and journaling had always been a source of healing for me, so I started a blog called Restoring Heart and Home where I shared both my grief journey and our home renovation process.
It became a space to process, reflect, and find hope again.
In 2018, I made the decision to return to graduate school to pursue my Master’s in Social Work. To help cover the cost of textbooks and school expenses, I leaned into my creativity once more—hand-painting home décor signs and selling them through an Etsy shop, which I also named Restoring Heart and Home. Though I eventually closed the shop as school and work demands grew, I always hoped I’d return to that space and the meaning behind it as it supported my heart in more ways that I realized.
When it came time to open my own therapy practice in 2023, choosing a name felt like coming home. I returned to the trusted and true: Restoring Heart and Home. This time, with a renewed focus—supporting others through their grief, losses, transitions, and life changes.
After becoming a mother in 2022, following my own loss journey of miscarriage, I came to understand in a deeper way how much parents sit at the center of the home. And when the heart of the home is hurting, everything else can feel out of balance.
That insight reaffirmed my mission: to help restore both hearts and homes for those who are struggling.
Restoring Heart and Home has always been about healing—from the inside out.
What began as a personal journey through grief and creativity has grown into a therapy practice rooted in compassion, resilience, and the belief that healing is possible. Whether you're navigating loss, life transitions, anxiety, or the challenges of parenthood, you're not alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you.
